Microgaming launches new golf-themed tournament slot

Microgaming‘s latest online slot, The Argyle Open, is a golf-themed five reel, 40 line game centred on a three-stage tournament bonus, triggered by three or more scatter symbols.

Once triggered, punters must choose from one of five pro-golfers to take to the green to play just one hole, the aim of which is to putt the hole in as few strokes as possible to achieve maximum free spins. Up to 20 free spins are available with a 5x multiplier, and each time the bonus is triggered, the player moves to the next hole on the course.

Microgaming has taken this popular online slot, originally launched on the casino platform in 2010, and developed it for tournament play.

The new version of the game is being used for September’s Euro 100,000 network tournament with an entry fee of Euro 10. The top 50 players will win a cash prize, and Euro 5,000 has been reserved for the overall winner.
