Microgaming has announced the launch of a Live Dealer studio surrounding the iconic adult brand Playboy.
The lifestyle brand established by Hugh Hefner in 1953, is leveraging its 97 percent global brand awareness, over 7.8 million Facebook fans and 17 million monthly unique visitors to Playboy.com to grow its presence in online gaming.
Microgaming’s dedicated Playboy live dealer gaming studio evokes the atmosphere of the original glamorous and opulent Playboy Club complete with dealers dressed in the signature Playboy bunny costume.
The new Live Dealer studio, encompassing the full suite of Live Dealer games including roulette, blackjack and baccarat, is now live with a number of Microgaming operators.
The licensing agreement with Playboy also allows the creation of RNG casino games, and the development of a real-money video slot, due for release to Microgaming operators in the next few months.
Jason Turner, Playboy’s senior vice president and general manager of Digital Ventures, notes: “The Playboy partnership with Microgaming is another example of partnering our iconic brand with a best in class gaming provider. We are thrilled that the gaming experience of playing with a live Playboy Bunny Dealer can now extend from our land-based Playboy Clubs to online gaming.”
Roger Raatgever, chief executive officer of Microgaming, adds: “The Playboy Live Dealer offering is another market first for Microgaming. We pride ourselves on partnering with the right brands at the right time and Playboy is one that we are proud to have a licensing agreement with. We believe that we have created an outstanding Live Dealer Playboy product which perfectly embodies this iconic brand; it will be a unique offering for operators and players alike.”
