The BiG Foundation, a UK charity supporting those in difficult circumstances, has announced that the Isle of Man-based online gambling software provider Microgaming is its headline sponsor for the forthcoming BiG Sports Dinner on Wednesday 10th September 2014, at The Dorchester Hotel in London.
“We are delighted to have Microgaming show such an interest in this inaugural event. The founders believe there is a real need for an organisation such as ours within our industry and thus have spent a lot of time, effort in getting the project thus far. It is critical now for the industry to embrace the event and show their support with their attendance,” said Richard Hogg, so-director and founder of the charity.
Attended by a host of sports stars, The BiG Sports Dinner features two key industry awards, namely “The Best Sports Betting Campaign” and “The Best Use of a Sporting Star in a Betting Campaign”.
Hogg promises “…a fantastic night of sports stories, banter and brilliant entertainment” hosted by international rugby hero Austin Healey, whilst raising money for some amazing sports related charities.
Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, added: “The BiG Sports Dinner is a unique event within the gaming industry and we are privileged to be a part of it. As a company we are very passionate about sport and charity work, so the BiG Sports Dinner is a natural fit for us. We hope that the event will raise a substantial amount for GamCare and other worthy charities.”
A host of gaming companies will be attending the dinner, in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the beneficiary charities. This includes Paddy Power, Betting Promotion, TAIN, The Betting Service, AliQuantum Gaming, along with representation from 188Bet and Unibet, to name just a few.
Media coverage has already been committed for the dinner by leading UK newspapers.
