Microgaming’s Health & Care Trust has donated GBP 10,000 to the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group towards the acquisition of a new ultrasound machine.
The machine will be a welcome addition to the purpose-built Manx Breast Unit Clinic at Noble’s Hospital which houses the island’s breast screening services.
Julie Stokes, Chairman of the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group: “The Manx Breast Cancer Support Group is thrilled to have received a £10,000 donation from the Microgaming Health & Care Trust. The new equipment will make an important difference to the Breast Unit team and will help significantly in improving the patient experience. We thank the Trust for their continued support.”
Paul Novellie, Trustee of the Microgaming Health & Care Trust: “The island benefits greatly from the dedicated breast care unit, so the Trust was naturally keen to help the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group again. We know that the new machine will make a real difference to the treatment and diagnosis of patients and in continuing to provide such a vital service here on the island.”
Microgaming is a committed supporter of the clinic having previously assisted in equipping the Unit with a Breast Coil, a specialised tool used in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans.
