Minnesota land casino operator launches online social casino

The Prairie Island Indian Community, a federally-recognised Indian Tribe that operates the Treasure Island land casino in Minnesota, has launched playTIcasino, an online, free-to-play social casino powered by Novomatic subsidiary Greentube.

Shelley Buck, the president of the Prairie Island Tribal Council, said in a press statement Tuesday:

“We looked to Greentube to create a branded social gaming platform that allows our players a chance to experience Treasure Island in a new and exciting way. With playTIcasino, they can now play their favourite Treasure Island games anytime and anywhere, which increases brand loyalty and allows our guests to play individually, connect with friends via Facebook and even compete in tournaments.”

The social casino offers a range of slot and gaming offerings comparable to its brick-and-mortar parent.

Gabriel Cianchetto, president of market development for Greentube North America said his company’s experience has produced a social casino that features external entertainment, prizes, and player incentives.

He revealed that playTIcasino is powered by Greentube Pro, Greentube’s private-label social casino marketing platform created by Kenny Huang and his team at BlueBat Games – a Greentube subsidiary.

PlayTIcasino provides an added dimension for current guests, but aims to attract the millennial demographic, a generation that has proved to be less enthusiastic about traditional land casino environments.
