Minnesota lawmaker to draft daily fantasy sports legislation

Democratic Party Representative Joe Atkins of the Minnesota Legislature has announced that he is drafting a bill for the regulation of daily fantasy sports in his state and plans to launch it in the House early next year.

The bill will recognise daily fantasy sports betting as a lawful activity but require Internet site operators to be licensed in the state after undergoing background and other checks.
