More on South China gambling bust

In an update Thursday, Guangdong Province, South China authorities confirmed the arrest of over 150 people in an online gambling case in which several people were found to be operating online gambling houses earlier this year.

Local authorities believe the gang collectively gained over US$ 62.7 million in profit from the online operations in which almost 2000 agents and 50,0000 club members were involved.

Five members were identified as the gang leaders.
