The now familiar stories of Malaysian internet gambling busts continue to surface in the Asian nation, with the latest reports that police raiding parties have broken up illegal online gambling enterprises in the Piasau, Bandar Muadzam Shah and Pulau Tioman regions.
Police chief Datuk Seri Sharifuddin Ab Ghani told reporters that a total of 24 individuals had been arrested in the police sweeps, and 28 mobile computing tablets used for online gambling seized, along with small amounts of cash and other documentary evidence.
