Mybet extends sports sponsorships

MyBet Holding SE (formerly Jaxx SE) is extending its sports sponsorship effort, this week signing an exclusive deal with the German football team Eintracht Braunschweig.

The company inked a similar deal in August last year with the small regional soccer club VfR Neumunster while the two teams it sponsored last season, SpVgg Greuther Furth and Fortuna Dusseldorf, have since been promoted to the Bundesliga after finishing first and third respectively in the lower second division Bundesliga

“With Eintracht Braunschweig we opted for a strong tradition of association, which has inspired us with its great football in the first round,” said Mathias Dahms, chief executive officer for MyBet.

“As an emerging club, Eintracht fits perfectly into our sponsorship strategy and we look forward to working with The Lions.”

Founded in 1895, Eintracht Braunschweig was one of the 16 founding members of the Bundesliga in 1963 and went on to win its sole national title in 1967.

The team’s fortunes declined from the mid-1980s onwards as it was consigned to play in the lower second and third divisions, but it is on the way back up and currently tops the second tier of German football with 44 points after 19 games.

“The partnership with MyBet Holding shows how attractive the Eintracht Braunschweig brand is and once again highlights the positive development of the club,” said Soeren Oliver Voigt, CEO for the Braunschweig-based club
