Mathias Dahms, the founder, chief executive officer and Management Board spokesman of Schleswig-Holstein based mybet Holding SE has resigned from the company.
According to a mybet advisory, Dahms’ resignation was at his own request for personal reasons and his departure is both amicable and by mutual agreement.
“After 15 years on the Management Board, including three years as CEO, Mathias Dahms would like to focus on new tasks,” said Supervisory Board Chairman Dr Volker Heeg. “We are exceptionally endebted to Mr Dahms for his successful contribution to the mybet Group over many years and are pleased we will be able to draw on his expertise as a consultant for a transitional period.”
Dahms was one of the founders of the mybet Group in 1998, initially serving as finance director, chief technology officer and chief operating officer of the group. In 2010 he switched to the role of Management Board spokesman and shaped the former lottery agent into one of Europe’s leading providers of sports betting, casino and poker.
“After a long and exciting time at mybet I am now relishing the prospect of fresh challenges,” added Mathias Dahms.
Dahms’ resignation is effective as of December 31, 2013. His duties will be assumed by newly appointed chief financial officer Monika Fiala who joined the company earlier this month on a six month contract .
In related news, Antje Stoltenberg, who has served on the Supervisory Board since its founding in 1998, has resigned due to reasons of health. Her resignation is also effective December 31, 2013.
