Gibraltar-based mobile gaming provider Nektan has announced that its chief executive officer, David Gosen, has resigned “to explore other business opportunities” and will leave the company at the end of January after a year at the helm.
Executive chairman Gary Shaw will take over as interim CEO until a replacement can be found, the company said.
Whether there are other reasons behind the sudden resignation is not known, but the separation appears to be amicable enough, with Shaw commenting:
“We would like to thank David for the progress the business has made in the last 12 months, and its continuing growth is testament to the solid building blocks the company established during his tenure. We wish David well for his future endeavours.”
Jim Wilkinson, an independent non-executive director of the company, will become non-executive chairman of Nektan. He is currently the chief financial officer for Oxford Sciences Innovation plc, and was at one time CFO of Sportingbet.
