Neogames to provide interactive scratchcards for Portuguese lottery

Scratch card specialist NeoGames has signed a deal with the Portuguese lottery, Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML) to provide it with a wide portfolio of interactive scratch cards and instant win games.

Under the brand name Raspadinha, SCML wants to extend its offer from retail to online players, using the portal Jogos Santa Casa.pt

NeoGames has localised its games portfolio by rebranding the game titles and giving the games the look and feel of the lottery, in order to meet client market requirements. In addition to the game offering, NeoGames will closely cooperate with the lottery’s marketing department to jointly create growth programs for the interactive scratch category.

“We strongly believe that the games selected by the lottery, with the assistance and recommendation of NeoGames, and joint marketing efforts will contribute to additional growth in the scratch card segment of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa,” said Ian Rosen, the chief executive of Neogames.

“Localising the games and adjusting the different game parameters to suit the requirements of the lottery is a key factor in their success and this was enabled by the flexibility and openness of our games platform.”

Lottery chief Fernando Paes Afonso said: “Our fastest growing product segment is scratch cards, and we are therefore excited about adding them to our online offering.”
