Online gambling operator NetBet has joined a surge in sponsorships between internet gambling companies and football clubs, extending its shirt sponsorship agreement with the French Ligue 1 club Saint-Etienne through the 2017 season and into 2018.
The partnership gives NetBet branding opportunities at the team’s Geoffroy-Guichard stadium and across the club’s digital and social media channels.
NetBet’s chairman, Alain Bocarra, said in a statement:
“Football represents a large portion of our business, and it was logical to want to join forces with AS Saint-Etienne, which has a large fan base.”
Roland Romeyer, president of AS Saint-Etienne added:
“NetBet and the club share the same passion for football, but also the desire to share this with as many fans as possible. We have built a relationship based on trust which allows NetBet to consolidate its presence in France….and further consolidates our development strategy”.
