International sports book and online casino operator NetBet has reopened for business in the Republic of Ireland after a brief period away from the Emerald Isle whilst it secured the appropriate licensing.
Following recent online gambling regulatory legislation that came into effect on August 1st, NetBet had suspended services while a new licence application was pending.
The operator revealed Friday that it has now achieved licensing to offer sports betting and casino products to Irish customers and has resumed all services.
A statement from NetBet revealed that it is planning a major marketing push to support its newly legalised status, including a TV commercial campaign as well as offline promotions and special offers.
Ireland is the seventh regulated European territory for the company, which is also licensed in the UK, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy and Romania.
Alexandre Mangaud, NetBet’s marketing manager, said, “The Republic of Ireland is an important market for us and it was important that, following new legislation, we could offer an unrestricted, fully licensed product. We thank our loyal customers for their patience and are excited to be resuming service to them – all existing customer logins are still valid and can be used without restriction.”
