NetEnt is bang on trend with the upcoming release of its Emoji-themed video slot, Emojiplanet.
The innovative developer has partnered Global Merchandising Services and The emoji Company to develop the mobile-first offer.
Emojiplanet is scheduled for release in the third quarter of this year following the launch of The Emoji Movie, an upcoming American 3D computer-animated film directed by Tony Leondis, produced by Sony Pictures Animation and due for release by Columbia Pictures in August 2017.
The much-anticipated movie is centered around a multi-expressional emoji named Gene, who embarks on a journey to become a normal emoji.
“As a leader in both mobile online gaming and innovation, Emojis is a perfect fit with NetEnt,” Simon Hammon, chief product officer of NetEnt, said. “Every day, millions – if not billions – of people around the world enjoy using Emojis. They have become a language in their own right; it is hard to think of a more collectively familiar and loved brand to partner up with.”
