The Swedish online gambling software and games provider NetEnt has finally released its much-anticipated new online slot Guns ‘N Roses following a branding deal last year with the legendary rock band of the same name, describing the game as the company’s biggest branded offering so far.
Development of the new rock ‘n roll slot involved a production team almost twice as large as any previous game attempted, a press release from the company advises, noting NetEnt’s intent to capture not just the spirit of the brand but also the best technical architecture to showcase HTML 5 production online.
Featuring great rock music and iconic riffs, expert designers and developers have painstakingly created the Guns N’ Roses experience using five top tracks including “Welcome to the Jungle”, “Sweet Child O’ Mine”, “Paradise City”, “November Rain” and “Chinese Democracy.”
Chief product officer at NetEnt, Simon Hammon, said in a company statement Thursday:
“Guns N’ Roses are huge and iconic and it’s great to launch with one of the most legendary rock bands in history. We’ve honored them with our most ambitious effort ever and NetEnt can’t wait for players to have a chance to enjoy the musical game experience.”
The game allows players to set the soundtrack as they experience features such as Encore Free Spins, Legend Spins, Solo Multiplier, “Appetite for Destruction Wild” and a Crowd Pleaser bonus game.
The 20-line slot launches in Europe today (January 21) simultaneously on mobile and desktop, and draws on the unmistakable sound of the band, which has claimed seven platinum-selling albums.
Hammon says the game is NetEnt’s first ever to be delivered using WebGI and Pixie, a second-generation rendering engine that enables vibrant animations in HTML5. And to top things off, NetEnt uses its unique in-house audio engine to match animations on beats to music, creating an entertaining blend of visual and audio harmony.
