Swedish online gambling group Betsson’s Malta operational headquarters has seen some hefty management restructuring moves over the past week, starting with Jesper Svensson’s appointment as acting CEO (since September 2017) confirmed as permanent by the group’s chief executive Pontus Lindwall.
Svensson has extensive experience in the i-gaming industry and has been with Betsson since 2013.
Then chief product officer Jörg Malang tweeted that he had “with regret” left after a year in-post and in Malta and is now contemplating his next career move.
That was followed by news that Betsson Malta’s veteran (he’s been with the company since 2005) Chief Technology Officer, Stefan Nordin, is to leave early in 2018.
Intriguingly, it does not appear that Betsson regards such important management changes as warranting a public announcement, and the reasons for the departures and whether they were by request or order is not clear.
