The Rank Group plc has announced that its interim chief financial officer James Pizey will return to his duties as group financial controller following the arrival on November 12 of a permanent CFO in the form of William Floydd.
Rank Group CEO John O’Reilly has played a role in Floydd’s appointment, saying that he will assist the group in the delivery of “a business that is fit for the future.”
O’Reilly is himself a relative newcomer to Rank, having replaced Henry Birch as CEO in April this year (see previous reports)
Flyodd’s previous management experience has been with Experiean UK and Ireland as CFO, preceded by 12 years of leadership positions at Logica plc and as finance director at Capita plc in the IT division.
O’Reilly thanked Pizey on behalf of the Board for holding the fort whilst a permanent CFO was selected.
Rank plc has struggled in recent months with declining revenue despite a strong digital performance, and O’Reilly has committed to turn the situation around through improvements in customer and digital growth, cost efficiencies and organisational capability.
