The London retail store Debenhams is providing UK land and online gambling group Gala Coral with its new non-executive Chairman, the Financial Times reports.
Robert Templeman, who is currently chief executive of the retail giant, has been tapped to replace outgoing non-executive chairman Neil Goulden and an official announcement is expected later this week.
Gala Coral is still searching for a new chief executive officer after the unexpected departure earlier this year (see earlier report) of Dominic Harrison. Mr Goulden was himself a former chief executive of Gala Coral from 2004 to 2008 and has been acting as interim chief executive since Mr Harrison’s departure. He is likely to remain with the group as a consultant after the arrival of Mr Templeman.
