The Kahnawake Gaming Commission has announced that Mark Jocks has been appointed as chairperson to the Commission, effective immediately. He succeeds previous chairman, Dean Montour, whose mandate ended on March 31, 2015.
In a statement Thursday the Commission extended sincere thanks to Dean Montour for the extraordinary service that he has provided as chairman over the past seven years.
Mark Jocks has been involved in the information technology field since 1988. He has worked in the online gaming industry since 2005, in both regulatory support and information technology, including several years at the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
He was directly involved in the implementation and oversight of the Commission’s Continuous Compliance Program and Certificate of Good Standing initiatives in 2010. During this time, he worked closely with the Commission’s approved agents and licensed operators.
Jocks’ previous work experience also includes working as a senior consultant for one of the largest systems integrators in Canada with clients ranging from federal government departments to smaller scale community initiatives.
