A Berlin, Germany-based software developer, Crowdpark, has announced the launch of two new games in the social betting and casino categories.
“Pet Vegas,” a slot machine game, represents the first step in Crowdpark’s social casino franchise on Facebook and soon on other platforms. The company is also launching a peer-to-peer betting game branded “AnteUp,” which is described as an easy and fun way to bet with friends on any topic or event.
For future release is another new betting game focused on soccer, a project which is still under development at present. This new social soccer betting game will incorporate the best of the sport’s social elements, offering live bets and weekly predictions, mixed with trivia questions.
The new products have been designed to bring legal betting to the world of social gaming, offering compatibility with multiple social platforms including Facebook, the Web and iOS and Android mobile applications. The betting model allows users to compete against each other in betting events, using virtual currency.
The company’s patent-pending dynamic betting technology generates live, real-time experiences allowing players to place a bet at any time.
“Developing a casino game is a natural move for Crowdpark as it leverages our expertise in social betting,” said Ingo Hinterding, co-founder and chief product officer. “The online gaming community requires a more complex reward system than simply maximizing their winnings, so we have found that employing progress levels and status boards keeps them engaged.”
Headquartered in Berlin, Germany, Europe’s gaming hub, Crowdpark is backed by Earlybird Venture Capital and Target Partners and has an office in San Francisco.
