The majority of the 42 employees laid off in Orlando recently by social gaming developer Zynga have found a new home with the rising daily fantasy sports star Fanduel, which has taken on 38 of them in opening its new Orlando office.
The casualties of Zynga’s failed Sports 365 venture will be led by one of their own in the new Orlando office, which is headed by former Zynga exec Mike Taramykin, the publication Venture Beat reports.
A Fanduel spokesman described the laid off Zynga staffers as “an incredible talent pool” which Fanduel was pleased to snap up for work on a new but unspecified product.
