Golden Nugget owner Landry’s announced Wednesday that its Atlantic City casino operation has become the second to be approved for online gambling in New Jersey.
The Borgata was approved last week .
Golden Nugget has partnered with Bally Technologies in its online gambling initiative, and expects to be among the first to launch after a five day trial period culminating in full-on operations commencing November 26 on the websites Golden Nugget Casino.com and Golden Nugget Poker.com, the Landrey’s statement notes.
The company additionally plans to offer online poker and casino games through mobile devices, and has said it is interesting in applying for further intrastate licenses as other states legalise.
Yesterday’s New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement award of an online gambling licence to Golden Nugget follows the casino’s closure of its land poker room last week.
The casino is also working toward a Nevada online poker licence, again in partnership with Bally, and earlier this week asked for a six month extension as it goes through the regulatory process .
