May 2016 gambling stats from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement were released Tuesday, revealing that Total Gaming Win from the Casino Hotels was $219.8 million in May 2016 compared to $221.1 million May 2015 ….a 0.6 percent decline.
Casino Win was $203.3 million, a 2.5 percent decline from the same month last year, whilst Internet Gaming Win came in at $16.54 million – a 2.1 percent decline versus the preceding month, but a 24.2 percent improvement year-on-year (May 2015: $12.5 million).
2016 May Online Poker revenue remained relatively stable at 15.5 percent of Total Internet Revenue (May 2015: 15.4 percent).
2016 May Online Casino was 84.5 percent of Total Internet Revenue (May 2015: 84.6 percent).
The Borgata and Party Poker (including Pala Entertainment) continued to lead the online market with a 23.8 percent share, ahead of Caesars Interactive (CIE) with 19.7 percent and Golden Nugget-Betfair (19.3 percent).
Fourth place was taken by Tropicana with 19 percent, and Resorts trailed at 18.1 percent and still growing.
Predictably, newly arrived Pokerstars led the online poker race with 44.8 percent of the market, although Borgata-Party improved to 28.5 percent and Caesars-WSOP-888 was up at 26.7 percent.
