A Millstone, New Jersey online punter harvested the biggest jackpot yet in the state’s newly legalised online gambling market this week, hitting a $84,300 windfall on IGT‘s “Monoloply Level Up Plus” slot.
Reporting on the big win, the Star Ledger newspaper said that the man, who scored the big hit at the Borgata online casino, wishes to remain anonymous.
Whilst not big by international standards – NetEntertainment awarded a Betsson player a Euro 2.45 million progressive last week, and the all-time biggest online jackpot record stands at Euro 17.9 million – the win is an indication of the sort of money that can be won as a vigorous slot pool builds.
IGT powers online betting for the Borgata, PartyPoker, the Tropicana, the Golden Nugget, Ultimate Gaming, Virgin Casino and Betfair, spokeswoman Audrey Henise said Friday.
The newspaper notes that the land operations of the Borgata proved profitable for gambler Emil Ragone of Elizabeth, New Jersey, whose trip to the casino paid off when he hit a $655,852 jackpot on the slots floor, playing the penny Wizard of Oz machine.
