Neill Garfield’s recent resignation as managing director of Betsson subsidiary NordicBet has triggered a wide search for his replacement by the online gambling group, with some pretty demanding requirements of applicants.
The widely experienced Garfield (he joined NordicBet just over a year ago bringing management experience with Tom Waterhouse, Paddy Power, Apple, Sky and O2) will not be easy to replace, a point illustrated by Betsson’s advertised requirements for the post this week:
“Managing Director for NordicBet Sweden
Betsson Group – Malta Island.
“We are now seeking a high-performance individual to lead one of our largest Business Teams: NordicBet.
“As Managing Director, you will be responsible for everything that sits on the revenue side of the web stack — the KPI drivers, planning, management and first-class execution skills. You will be expected to re-engineer existing processes to drive efficiency, automation and develop scalable solutions to exceed market growth expectations. The successful candidate will be very commercial in nature and have comprehensive business acumen.
“The Managing Director is totally responsible for revenues and optimisation of business processes. The successful candidate will also be a member of the Commercial Management Team, with key partner relationships with the centralised CMO.”
