It seems that every two years (give or take a few months) Massachusetts state Senator Bruce Tarr flights an online gambling legalisation bill in the state Senate.
Following prevously unsuccessful attempts in 2013 and 2015 (see previous reports), this year it is SD.618 provisionally titled “An Act Relative to Gaming” that has been filed, with very little detail at this stage.
Sen. Tarr is the Massachusetts Senate Minority Leader, and at present he appears to be playing his cards close to his chest; his filing is only a couple of paragraphs in length and reveals little, focusing on the setting up of a dedicated fund to which the (presumably tax) proceeds of internet gambling in Massachusetts will be directed.
