New online slots in Italy prove popular

The change in Italian online gambling regulations allowing operators to offer casino games and notably slots has proved to be popular with players according to local media reports.

Pokerstars’ dedicated Italian operation is among the first to offer online slots this month following its introduction of blackjack and roulette in May.  The new slot games originate from both in-house and third party sources like Leander Games and Quickspin.

Local Pokerstars exec Marco Trucco reports that the launch of table games online last month did not appear to have had a material impact on the poker activity of the company. He also commented that the inclusion of sports betting in the Pokerstars.it offering is dependent on regulatory decisions and product preparation.
