New online sports betting site planned by Russian TV broadcaster

Russian public television sports broadcaster Match TV has announced that it has applied for local licensing to launch an online sports betting service under the domain Match Stavka.

Subject to the achievement of licensed status, the broadcaster plans to start accepting bets early in 2018, and to this end has published a tender invitation open until October 12 and designed to secure a partnership with a suitably experienced and qualified online betting technology provider.

The successful partner will be tasked with developing and preparing the Match Stavka website and associated payment and business facilities in time for next year’s FIFA World Cup which will be hosted by Russia, ensuring high local interest among football fans.
