NEW PLAYTECH SLOT OFFENDS HINDUS (Update)
Hindu statesman calls on company to recall the game
A new Playtech game titled “Lakshmi Gold” has offended the Hindu community because of the depiction and use of highly revered Hindu deities Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh.
Hindu Statesman and president of Universal Society of Hinduism, Rajan Zed, has called on Playtech to recall the game and publically apologise, reports voxy.co.nz.
Zed went on to say that the deities were meant to be worshipped in temples or home shrines and not for use to promote gambling “for mercantile greed of an online gaming company”.
