News from Russian media sources this week is that a second Russian online sports betting licence is about to be issued to Stoloto, a major online and land operator in the country which is planning the launch of a BetConstruct-platformed operation branded 888.ru.
The 888 moniker triggered a small wave of speculation, but it has been confirmed that this is not in any way associated with the online casino group 888 Holdings listed in the UK, which remains persona non grata in Russia, judging by the latest Roskomnadzor blacklist.
Liga Stavok has the distinction of holding the first Russian online sportsbetting licence, which it achieved in February this year (see previous report).
