The quaintly titled Tel Aviv, Israel-based game developer diwip reports that its $2 million investment in Slots Club, launched in beta format in June on Facebook, is attracting plenty of action.
The new game, developed with the company’s experience with Best Casino on Facebook, offers players a selection of 40 pay-line, themed slots with all the usual features such as free spins and bonuses, optimised for social gaming through several sharing facilities.
Diwip was founded in 2010 by Udi Kantzuker and Yaniv Gamzo, and has grown rapidly since launching Best Casino, now employing over 50 staff in Israel.
The company suffered a setback earlier this year when CEO Dan Wiegenfeld departed to join Playtech‘s social gaming drive , but has handled the departure well, with Best Casino continuing to perform strongly with over a million MAUs.
Diwip plans a mobile version of Slots Club via the Unity engine, Kantzuker revealed this week, saying:
“Our past experience in mobile development led us to switch to the Unity engine. Native code didn’t give us the rich graphics we wanted and Flash Air SDK gave us really poor quality user experience. Unity makes development so easy and produces crazy good graphics.”
