The Stoke, UK-headquartered online gambling group Bet365 has revealed plans to open a new technology development office in Manchester and is reportedly recruiting up to 70 new employees to man it.
The company expects to officially open the branch early in May, with head of software development Dom Hawley telling local media:
“It’s clear that we now need to expand our operation outside of the local [Stoke] area to grow our development teams further. Manchester was the obvious choice for establishing a blueprint for our growth. It has a superb technology culture. It’s close enough to Stoke that people can move between offices if necessary and the commuter links are such that we may also attract people from further afield.”
The new office will be managed by Bet365’s head of system development, Warren Hughes, Hawley revealed.
