Technology that enables online players to enjoy slots hitherto restricted to land gaming operations is the subject of a deal signed this week between Las Vegas-based technology firm Leap Forward Gaming and online gambling content provider NYX Gaming Group.
The deal involves the joint development of Leap Forward’s TCG (Thin Client Gaming) platform to create an end-to-end thin client gaming delivery for operators and players. TCG is an extension of Leap Forward’s SaffariNet technology, which brings picture-in-picture capability to all slot machine platforms.
The partners in the new deal hope that their alliance will offer casino operators access to an unprecedented suite of innovative world-class slot games utilising Saffari’s multimedia ecosystem.
Matt Davey, NYX Gaming Group CEO said Monday: “TCG technology expands our market significantly. We pride ourselves as providers of platform-independent content. Now, the same game is able to be played online, as well as on land-based slot machine platforms without modifications.
“We are always pushing the envelope of innovation and are excited by the disruptive technology provided by TCG, where the same client server game can be seamlessly delivered via thin client to all slot machines, all over the world. We have not seen another system like this, and we welcome the new opportunities to increase revenue to operators with our games.”
Ali Saffari, LFG CEO, added, “TCG’s platform-agnostic capability will take NYX’s games to the next level by making them available on all slot machine platforms, providing operators with an abundance of games to their players with reduced cost of ownership, thus increasing revenue. The combined technology brings new markets to NYX, new games to operators, unprecedented flexibility to change games with no business disruption, the ability to target specific player demographics, and seasonal/themed games that players desire.”
In related news, Leap Forward Gaming has also announced a similar TCG deal with Nevada gambling content provider Spin Games.
Kent Young, Spin Games CEO, said, “TCG was developed based on industry feedback to allow for an economical game delivery technology. TCG enables SG to provide enhanced premium game content to the gaming industry in real-time on all platforms. No other system today offers the capability of the SaffariNet ecosystem and the value it brings to legacy, as well as new slot machine platforms.”
