Newspaper identifies top European online gambling operators

The UK newspaper The Independent published an interesting article over the weekend identifying pioneering online gambling operators in Europe, although surprisingly it did not include major player Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment and CEO Norbert Teufelberger.
The newspaper reported that the executives it named had all made fortunes as pioneering online gambling entrepreneurs, most of whom were now optimistically seeking alternative markets to the “saturated” UK sector.
The piece profiles Betvictor’s Victor Chandler; Peter, Denise and John Coates of bet365; Bodog founder Calvin Ayre; and Avi and Aaron Shaked and 888 Holdings.
