Nordicbet to focus on Scandinavian online gambling market

News on 26 Dec 2013

Once again, an online gambling company has made a speculation-triggering announcement on an important change in its operating policies without taking the trouble to explain why.

This time around it is Nordicbet, which has been sending out emails advising its players that as from January 2 2014 it will no longer be providing sport and gaming services to punters located outside of the Scandinavian region embracing Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Iceland and Faroe Islands.

The email refers players to “…our flagship brand Betsson.com, where you can continue to play all your favourite casino games, bet on all your favourite sports or participate in poker tournaments.”

Players have already started speculating that the online gambling operator is doing some legal tidying up in concentrating its NordicBet enterprise on the Nordic market.

The change does not appear to be popular among regular NordicBet players, many of whom enjoyed the site’s multi-software choice of games, especially those from WMS.

The email includes advice for players that include:

“You will able to withdraw your Poker, Casino & Bingo funds from your account at all times until the 02/02/2014 – If you have Poker funds, on the 30th of December these funds will transfer to your Sportbook account and your Poker account will be closed.

“You will be able to withdraw your Sportsbook funds 30 days after the last bet has been settled.”
