Online gambling software and games supplier NYX Gaming Group Limited announced Thursday that it has signed a letter of intent with de Nederlandse Staatsloterij / De Lotto for an integration of its digital gaming content and player account management systems via the NYX Open Platform System.
A statement from the company reveals that it began evaluation work on a possible deal with the Dutch gambling company in December last year following the Dutch regulator’s approval of a merge involving de Nederlandse Staatsloterij (The Dutch State Lottery) and De Lotto.
The resultant merger will create a Euro 1 billion (£725 million) lottery operator and will soon be completed.
In addition to the integration of OPS, the agreement will see online slots and scratch card titles from NYX’s wholly owned subsidiary NextGen Gaming launch across the Dutch websites of the merged companies in the future legalised online gambling market in the Netherlands.
Commenting on the agreement, NYX Gaming group CEO Matt Davey said:
“It’s a privilege to be working with de Nederlandse Staatsloterij / De Lotto to bring NYX’s OPS platform and content to their soon to be merged business. Global revenue forecasts for the lottery industry recently topped Euro 260 billion. As one of the few gaming content and platform providers with World Lottery Association Membership, we are well positioned to work in partnership with national lotteries across the globe.”
