Chicago-based gambling equipment and content provider WMS had a less than impressive set of Q3 results this week, but it did illustrate that the company’s move into the online environment through Jackpot Party Casino was a smart alternative revenue generator.
Overall, group net income fell 9 percent to $22.1 million on revenues that were down 9 percent to $176 million. Product sales declined 7.9 percent to $110.6 million, and gaming operations dipped 9.7 percent to $65.4 million.
However, the interactive division saw revenues soar an impressive 136 percent to $9 million.
