The police in Bangalore, India continued to pursue illegal online bookies taking bets on cricket matches Thursday, reporting the arrest of two twenty-something online bookies.
The original bust took place at the Hotel Rajmahal Comfort, where police seized 34 mobile phones, a laptop and a substantial amount of cash and arrested one bookie in the act of making a bet. Useful information was also recovered by the police executing the raid.
A police spokesman revealed that further investigations indicated that the booking activity had spread beyond the city limits, and this lead to the arrest of a second bookie and more cash, which the accused was busy distributing money after the IPL match results.
