Vietnam authorities have bust a football pools online betting ring, arresting twelve people and confiscating numerous mobile phones and other related evidence.
The operation, which is estimated to have generated around US$13 million, was headed up by Phạm Quân Dũng (40), known by Thanh Hóa City Police for a similar sting in November last year in which he was involved (see previous reports).
Indian authorities also arrested five gamblers for online betting on a cricket match following a raid in Khanewal.
Police confiscated cash, mobile devices and a gambling register among other related equipment.
