Norwegian-listed online gambling corporate Gaming Innovation Group has announced a new agreement that strengthens its presence in Eastern Europe, revealing that it is to supply platform services to Niké, a major betting operator in the Slovakian market.
Niké, a widely and well established retail operator, is taking the GIG iGaming Cloud platform on board as part of its preparations for the forthcoming online gambling regulatory regime in Slovakia. The platform covers both online sportsbetting and casino facilities, which will be offered on a new Niké.sk website.
Robin Reed CEO of GIG, said in a statement Thursday:
“Through this agreement, we are expanding our geographical reach to Slovakia, doing so with the number one player, Niké. “For more than two decades they have delivered a premium service through their network of more than 900 branches. We are excited that they have chosen iGamingCloud as their platform provider.”
Niké CEO and co-owner Otto Berger said:
“After the liberalisation of e-games in Slovakia, our goal is to be number one in this area, as we have long been in the field of sports betting. We are looking forward to the cooperation with iGaming Cloud and we believe that the Lottery Act in the area of e-games will be liberalised in Slovakia in the near future.”
The deal with Niké is the twentieth B2B deal signed by GIG for its iGaming Cloud product this year.
