Police in the Malaysian state of Sarawak report that they have been active over the past six days, arresting 39 people on online gambling offences in a series of 25 raids.
Sarawak Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Datuk Dev Kumar said the raids were executed by teams from the CID headquarters and district CIDs.
Raids were carried out in the towns of Lawas, Limbang, Serian and Marudi for cyber gambling activities, and resulted in the seizure of 40 computers, tablets and video machines, and other evidence.
