The Delaware state lottery released online gambling statistics Monday, showing only small overall revenue growth of 3.7 percent in January to $145,276.
The numbers represent a dramatic drop from the 57 percent growth recorded in the period November – December, soon after the state legalised the pastime and opened up licensing and regulation.
Online poker accounted for just over 60 percent of revenues in January, and even that was down 17 percent on December stats, with NGR at $88,390 (December: $106,992).
Delaware has a relatively small population compared to New Jersey, where the latest regulator figures indicate that $9.5 million in online gambling revenues was achieved in January.
