Online lottery operator Lottoland has expanded its reach following the award of a five-year licence by Australia’s Northern Territory Racing Commission, permitting it to offer wagering on the outcomes of state and international lotteries across Australia.
The lottery company already holds online gambling licences from the Government of Gibraltar, and the UK Gambling Commission.
CEO Nigel Birrell claimed his company is carving out a world-leading position in a new and exciting category of online gaming.
“Lottoland is well positioned to accelerate its already phenomenal growth through continued product innovation and by expanding its international reach through securing a licence in Australia,” he said.
The Australian business will be headed by Luke Brill, a respected former m.d. of Betfred Australia, who will be based out of offices in Darwin and Sydney.
