Online operations kind to Loto Quebec

Among a slew of financial third quarter results issued last week by Loto Quebec, the authorised gambling operator for the Canadian province, was an interesting section that illustrated once again how online offerings can boost business for essentially land operators.

There was an almost three-fold rise in online gambling revenues in the quarter compared to the previous year, with revenues reaching the Cdn$4.6 million mark, making the internet sector one of the most successful for the company.

Across the group the results were less impressive although still positive; revenues were up from Cdn$ 894,4 million from the previous year’s Q3, reaching Cdn$ 901.2 million.
