Officials from multiple law enforcement agencies combined in raids on two homes in the US state of Georgia Thursday, executing search warrants issued on grounds of illegal online gambling.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said that an investigation by the Fairfax County Virginia Police Department – titled Operation Parlay: Bringing Down The House – traced illegal online gambling activity back to the two Georgia homes, and alleged that one Frank Michael House (54) was facilitating online bets using the website East407, which allowed players to place bets on college and professional sporting events.
House was arrested and charged with felony commercial gambling, and drug-related criminal offences.
Officials said that investigations into the illegal activity are on-going.
