Online sports betting up slightly in Italy

Online sports betting in Italy during 2012 generated revenues of Euro 3.94 billion – up 2.37 percent – the local regulator AAMS reported this week. International football and the Olympics helped to boost interest during the year, the regulator noted.

Live betting was popular, showing an increase of 54 percent.

AAMS ranked the leading companies in terms of market share as SNAI (31.07 percent); Lottomatica (20.72 percent) and Matchpoint (13.16 percent).
