Joplin, Missouri resident Kenneth B. Lovett (72), who was arrested earlier this year on 16 counts of running illegal online gambling operations has pleaded guilty to a single count to reduce his liability.
Appearing in the Springfield district court Friday, Lovett entered a plea of transmitting wagering information over the Internet. The plea agreement Lovett reached with federal prosecutors says he ran a gambling operation that primarily handled wagers placed on National Football League games between Jan. 1, 2003, and Feb. 8, 2011.
