Ferrero, the owners of the popular chocolate and hazelnut breakfast spread Nutella, are planning an innovative promotional project for their product which will be installed late November at the Grand Osaka Waterfront mall in Japan and involves a giant slot machine.
During a three-day promotional drive from 10 am to 8 pm daily, the machine will allow users to benefit every time with a free snack of Nutella and a variety of 20 toppings on various toast breads.
The toppings include chopped nuts, cherries, strawberries, blueberries and sliced banana, issued randomly, so the consumer gets what the machine delivers.
The company is marketing the concept across social media channels, reportedly generating significant interest.
