Paddy Power Betfair and The Stars Group in merger talks?

According to unidentified sources in a UK Sunday Times report, Paddy Power Betfair and The Stars Group held merger talks late last year that, if successful, would have created an online gambling behemoth worth around GBP 8.4 billion.

The Sunday Times report said its source indicated that those talks are no longer ongoing.
